RECREATING THE CENTRAL URBAN TEXTURE OF JIROFT
As the Research Lead for the central urban reconstruction project in Jiroft city, I have played a crucial role in shaping the research methodology and strategic insights that have guided both the design and execution teams. My responsibilities include conducting detailed analyses of the city's urban fabric, identifying key socio-economic, physical, and environmental challenges, and assessing the development potential within the historical context of Jiroft. I have worked closely with the Department of Urban Development and Improvement of Kerman Province and the Iran Urban Development and Improvement Company to ensure that the revitalization plan is grounded in robust urban planning principles, such as spatial equity, sustainable land use, and the integration of open and public spaces. holistic approach of research has been pivotal in framing the urban regeneration strategy, with a strong focus on the restoration of the central area's historical identity while also addressing modern urban needs.
In addition to leading the research, I have actively contributed to shaping the project's overall vision and execution strategy, collaborating with the design team to translate urban insights into actionable plans that adhere to both the city’s regulatory frameworks and its long-term development goals. I have also played a key role in securing investments by presenting comprehensive analyses that highlight the economic and cultural value of revitalizing Jiroft’s historical core. By integrating my expertise in urban morphology, socio-spatial analysis, and economic feasibility, I have ensured that the project not only revitalizes public spaces but also fosters sustainable growth that aligns with the broader objectives of urban resilience and community well-being.
