Hi, I’m Alireza (1996), a researcher, architect, and urban planner with a deep curiosity for the intersection of design, technology, and social equity in our built environment. I hold both a B.S. and M.S. in Architectural Engineering, as well as an M.S. in Real Estate Management with a specialization in real estate economics from the University of Greenwich in London. My academic path has been shaped by a desire to understand how cities function, not just in form, but in finance, policy, and human experience.
With nearly a decade of experience in professional practice, I've contributed to a range of design and planning projects. Yet, it’s in research that I’ve found my true calling. My passion lies in exploring the complex realities of housing and urban justice, diving into how economic forces, zoning laws, and policy decisions shape the lives of households in our cities, today and into the future.
First, I thought architecture was about shaping space, drawing lines and placing bricks, but as I delved deeper urban studies, I came to see differently. It’s not only defined by lines on a plans, but also by numbers, narratives, and the lived experiences behind them. Thank you for taking the time to explore a glimpse of my journey. Behind those lies a rich tapestry of experiences and feelings, from moments of success to lessons learned through failure, each shaping who I am and how I see the world.
