Buitenplaats Koningsweg
Call for insight by Buitenplaats Koningsweg was part of my internship in Cushman&Wakefield, I explored an innovative investment strategy that blended sustainability, heritage, and creativity. Located on the edge of Arnhem and adjacent to the Veluwe, this cultural enclave transforms a historic WWII site into a vibrant living-working space. The project prioritizes ecological construction, employing recycled materials like concrete and wood for energy-efficient homes. Architecturally, it celebrates the concept of "camouflage," inspired by wartime strategies, with cleverly designed follies that merge into the natural landscape. This effort demonstrates how architecture can preserve history while championing modern sustainability and artistic innovation.
